Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the inaugural awarding of our SHE FLIES Pillar Awards, recognizing local girls, women, and organizations who exemplify one of the three SHE FLIES pillars: Keeping girls in the game • Empowering women in coaching • Fitness for life

Beyond the Baseline

Beyond the Baseline

Join us on Saturday, March 9 for a “Beyond the Baseline” event associated with the NCAA® Women’s Basketball Regional in Portland. This free basketball clinic is designed for girls in grades 5th to 8th and will be held at EForce Sports. The morning session for 5th to 6th graders will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by the afternoon session for 7th and 8th graders from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants can expect on-court coaching, sports performance insights, nutritional guidance, and a Q&A session with experienced female basketball coaches and athletes. Space is limited.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day Trivia Night

Join us at The Sports Bra in NE Portland on Wednesday, February 7, to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day! SHE FLIES is hosting a women's sports trivia night from 6-8 p.m. No RSVP required, but this is a first come, first served event, so be sure to arrive on time. The top three teams will receive prizes. Teams can have a maximum of six people each. Come celebrate the achievements and contributions of girls and women in sports with us and test your women’s sports trivia knowledge for a chance to win!

MAC TITLE IX LISTEN AND LEARN SERIES

Join us to listen and learn about the the impact of the lack of access in 1972 and the role an Oregon congresswomen had in writing the legislation that brought Title IX to be the national standard. Carolyn Wood is an author of Tough Girl and Class Notes. She is a native Oregonian and was an Olympic gold medalist in swimming at age fourteen. This event will highlight her novels, thoughts from her journeys, and include time for a Q&A. Free event and open to everyone.

Sport Oregon’s Young Professionals Board represents the next generation of leaders and creators in our sports landscape.
